Caring for You is aiming to lift its engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities and have co-designed the following vision statement and activities to deliver success over the next 3 years (2022 – 2025).

WHY THIS STRATEGY

We believe our creativity is enhanced by respecting, including, and embedding diversity, that in turn, creates a better business, and society. We provide a wide range of healthcare personnel to a variety of locations such as public and private hospitals, aged care facilities, medical centres, schools, correctional facilities and private homes. We have maximised technology as a key point of difference in this growing industry.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are the First Australians and we believe that by understanding, engaging and reconciling with First Nations People, we will be a far better organisation and contribute to building a more socially inclusive community. HOW WE DEVELOPED THIS STRATEGY

On November 18 2021, Mifsud Consulting & Advisory facilitated an online Cultural Awareness workshop with us that took an insightful but broad look at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, heritage, and culture. This workshop provided the platform on which this strategy was developed.

On December 9 2021, Mifsud Consulting & Advisory facilitated a co-designed visioning and strategy workshop with key team members to develop the vision statement, and key actions.

The workshop included an introductory orientation session to gain insight into the context of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, heritage and culture as well as key activities to co-design the vision statement and the list of key actions to implement over the next three years (2024-2027)
